Why Do We Offer In-house Exercises?

We offer in-house exercises for two reasons. The first one is that patients do not perform exercise at home, and the second one is that patients do not perform the exercise properly, which can make conditions worse rather than making them better.

At Town Chiropractor, we aim to make sure our patients do the exercises just the way they need to be done, and for that, we guide them thoroughly through the exercise session.

What Are The 3 Phases Of The Spine And Joint Rehabilitation Program?

The whole spine and joint rehabilitation program is divided into three phases, which include active care treatment to help you achieve your goal of spinal or joint stabilization.

Phase I: In this phase, our main focus is to help you regain your range of motion and flexibility. And for that, we use a range of motion exercises, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretches.

Phase II: The main objective of this phase is to help you regain balance and coordination between the muscles supporting the spine and joints. To do that, we use a wide range of predesigned eccentric/concentric and isometric/isotonic exercises, which improve the kinesthetic and positional sense of the spine or joints. We accomplish the desired results with an open kinetic chain.

Phase III: The third phase is all about strengthening the muscles around the injured area with a well-defined set of exercises. We also focus on correcting the form of doing day-to-day activities, which includes the use of the injured area to make sure the condition doesn’t get worse. And for that, we design exercises that replicate your activities from daily life. The duration of each phase is set by doctors after considering certain aspects, including the amount of damage sustained, function limitations present upon exam, and the length of time from injury.
